Interpretation of quotation

“Employers identify communication as one of the basic competencies every

graduate should have, asserting that the ability to communicate is valuable for

obtaining employment and maintaining successful job performance.”

Sherwyn Morreale, Michael Osborn & Judy Pearson,

Professors of Communication (2000)

In the workplace, communication is utilized daily, from receiving instructions from bosses, working together with teammates and colleagues to dealing with clients. The ability to convey your message across clearly and concisely is essential to prevent miscommunication and to ensure that your message is delivered correctly to the other person. This, in turn, ensures consistent and outstanding work performance.

Communication is important during job interviews with potential employers as it provides them with a good initial impression, and shows them what you are capable of. Being able to effectively communicate across your knowledge and potential is essential to convincing the interviewer that you are the right person for the job.

  1. I agree with what you have said. Communication is important in everyday working life. In fact you are trying to say that communication is the foundation in any job which you are absolutory right about. Even at the very start during your interview communication plays a big part on it.
