Initial research pathway

Jun Heng has a keen interest in automations since a young age after attending numerous extra-curricular classes on robotics and programming, so he decided to choose a robot to write about. Haikal and Jun Heng, chose this particular model (iRobot Roomba j7+) as Jun Heng has the model at home, and hence have more in depth knowledge of it. Jun Heng has the manual at home, which includes the design specifications of the robot, as well as information on most of its features. The team did further Google searches and found 6 websites of people writing reviews on the model. The websites included the pros and cons of the robot, as well as comparisons with other models.  One website also included further details on how the robot operated, and how the robot utilized a unique function (smart mapping technology). The team tried using ChatGPT to obtain more information. However, ChatGPT's training model was last updated in September 2021, which was before the release date of the iRobot Roomba j7

Formal Introductive letter to professor

 Dear Professor Blackstone, I am writing this introductory letter to you in hopes that you can get to know be better. My name is Hendrick Yip Jun Heng, and I am a mechanical engineering undergraduate student studying at Singapore Institute of Technology(SIT). I previously graduated from Singapore Polytechnic(SP) with a diploma in mechatronics and robotics. This is in line with my passion, that is robotics and programming. My interest in robots, specifically automated vehicles, was developed from a young age when I attended many extra-curricular classes on basic programming and robotics during the school holidays. During those courses, I was exposed to building my own robots and learned multiple programming languages such as Python and C++ to control them. I hence decided to pursue an education and future career in robotics engineering. One part of communication that I feel I am strong at is that I am able to work well with unfamiliar faces should the need arise. For example, during our
